About Patricia
I have been in the health field for over 40 years.
Specializing in Geriatric care. While nursing was what motivated me to pursue further, into different aspects of Achology, (Modern day Psychology) to be able to help clients and their families with the trials and tribulations that are part of a loved ones caregiving needs as well as their own. I became an advocate for my Alzheimers and Dementia patients as well as their loved ones and caregivers, weather it was in home care or in an assisted or convalescent setting.
Having done a fare amount of caregiving myself with senior diseases, including Hospice and Respite care, I found myself in the same stressful situations. Exhausted, stressed and burned out.
I decided to turn the negatives in caregiving into challenges. While first creating Balance. Finding solutions to not only the loved ones needs but for the caregivers as well. Through Motivational Speaking and an ongoing team support system, those solutions would become the foundation in structuring a better quality of life for all.
Majoring in Psychology and then R.N. training, raising children, and having family responsibilities, I found myself always returning to the medical field, because of my passion for providing direction for quality care and specializing in Geriatric care. I was an Activities Director at a Senior home for a year, as well as the Director of Marketing and Admissions at a Convalescent hospital and Rehab Center.
I am studying Acholology, "Modern Day Physiology" and am a Certified Life Coach / Cognitive Therapist and Counseling Practitioner. Now studying Mental Health. You can find my information on LinkedIn. I believe that a healthy mind creates a healthy body.
